Demonstration models constructed for Kensa Utilities.

Kensa wants everyone to have access to affordable, clean, renewable energy sources for heating. For this reason, their ambitious project is the first to provide high-value, low-carbon technology on a street-by-street basis to homeowners of all income levels.

In order to address the climate problem and assist the UK in achieving its net-zero target by 2050, Heat the Streets provided evidence on how and why street-by-street installations are the most practical and efficient way to use ground source heat pump technology at the community level.

As the model was well received a second model was produced, one for head office and the other for exhibitions.

To demonstrate the heat flow through the model lightng was utilised making it easy to understand to the viewer. As the project developed the model had to evolve along with their fast growing project, this meant updates and additions to the model design, as shown in the photos below.
