Anchor Systems International approached us with a classic engineering-marketing dilemma: How do you pitch a product to prospective clients when your entire system operates completely underground? Because their high-performance earth anchoring systems are entirely hidden from view once deployed, traditional print, video, or digital media often fail to capture the mechanical reality and sheer structural power of the hardware.
The brief was to create a highly robust, 1:43 scale technical display model specifically engineered for the high-traffic, fast-paced environments of industry exhibitions. The model needed to act as an instant visual shorthand, allowing the sales team to easily demonstrate sub-surface deployment, mechanical functionality, and real-world structural applications to engineers and project managers on the trade show floor.
Exhibition models live a tough life. They are constantly shipped, handled by hundreds of stand visitors, and subjected to the rigors of rapid setup and breakdown. To balance museum-grade visual accuracy with industrial strength durability, we developed a multi-layered fabrication strategy:
Subterranean Cross-Sectional Geometry: To expose what is usually invisible, we engineered a multi-angle, cross-sectional boundary layout. This cutaway profile opens up the subterranean strata, allowing viewers to see the exact angles, pull-testing capabilities, and depth profiles of the anchoring systems from multiple vantage points.
8K Micro-Precision Resin Components: To ensure the miniature anchoring hardware perfectly replicated the exact geometry of the full-scale mechanical products, we utilized our high resolution 8K UV-resin 3D printers. These components are incredibly crisp and dimensionally accurate, yet tough enough to withstand repeated handling and interactive sales demonstrations.
Geological Stratification: Using specialized pigments and multi-textured scenic compounds, we meticulously recreated realistic, distinct geological strata. By simulating varying soil types and rock conditions, the model physically demonstrates how the anchoring systems expand, lock, and perform across different terrain profiles.
At a busy trade show, you have roughly three seconds to catch a passing prospect's eye. A looping video or a stack of brochures easily blends into the background, but a beautifully crafted, highly tactical physical model stops people in their tracks.
By giving potential clients a tangible, 360-degree look at the mechanical mechanics of the anchor systems, the sales team can bypass lengthy explanations, answer complex technical questions on the spot, and dramatically de-risk the client's decision making process.
Chassis & Enclosure: Heavy-duty composite baseboard and structural acrylic framing designed specifically to survive frequent transport and international freight.
Hardware Replicas: High-impact 8K resin castings, color-matched and finished to replicate industrial engineering steel.
Terrain Profiles: Layered, textured polymers and industrial architectural coatings simulating realistic subsurface soil layers.
For Funky Lemon Design, this project perfectly highlights our core commercial capability: interpreting intricate industrial engineering specifications and translating them into robust, highly detailed physical assets tailored to close deals in professional B2B marketing environments.
