100% natural material, sustainably sourced.

Supplied as a few large masses in the bag, not as a pre-torn mix. You break or tear off what you need, so the size of the bush, hedge or canopy you end up with is down to you rather than fixed by us. Every bag is a single colour and a single texture grade, so the material stays consistent however far you take it down.

This is a cork and balsa blend, not foam. Two natural materials bound together so the mix reads as genuine organic texture rather than a uniform manufactured grain. Cork gives it an irregular, slightly craggy surface; balsa lightens the mix and breaks the texture up further, so no two torn pieces look quite the same. It's 100% natural material, sustainably sourced. Lichen used to be the standard natural alternative to foam, before most modellers moved away from it for being brittle and hard to source consistently, this is a modern, stable answer to the same idea: real material, not synthetic foam, without the drawbacks that pushed lichen out of fashion.

Light Green is the spring and early-summer tone — fresh, slightly yellow-biased. It works alone for a bright seasonal scene, and it earns its keep as a highlight dusted over darker planting to break up flat colour.

Mid Green is the temperate summer default and the colour most projects need most of. If you are buying one bag to cover a scheme, this is it.

Dark Green is the deep, cool end of the range — shaded understorey, north-facing boundaries, evergreen mass and the recessive planting that makes everything in front of it come forward.

Also available as a two-tone mix, blended in-house before bagging rather than left for you to combine by hand. Light-Mid Green pairs the fresh spring tone with the summer default, giving a bush or hedge natural tonal variation straight out of the bag. Mid-Dark Green pairs the everyday summer green with the deeper, recessive shade, for a hedge or canopy with built-in depth and shadow rather than a flat single tone. Both mixes are torn down exactly like the single-colour bags, same structure, same texture grading, same mechanic, just two colours worked through the mix instead of one.

Glue-bound throughout, so the material holds together while you tear it, handle it, spray it or work it into an adhesive bed — it comes apart where you pull it, not everywhere else. Fix with PVA, spray adhesive or a scenic cement. [CONFIRM: pack size and net weight.] Supplied in a resealable bag, so an opened pack keeps for the next scheme.

Made only by us. This cork and balsa bush material isn't a format the mass-market scenery brands stock. The natural alternative most modellers know is lichen; this is built to solve the problems that pushed lichen out of favour.

Made in house in Ipswich, in small batches. If you need a volume that is not listed, or a colour matched to a specific planting schedule, ask — we make it here, so we can make it to order.
